Band Of The Week: Red
Slight band history.
This band was formed by twin brothers, one guitarist
named Anthony Armstrong and one bassist named Randy Armstrong. Together they
form this band and play along with lead vocalist Michael Barnes, drummer Andrew
Hendrix, and guitarist Jasen Rauch. They call there selves a “Christian band”.
Hendrix left the band and was replaced by Hayden lamb(twin brother of former
Paramore guitarist, Hunter Lamb).

Name Origin: According to lead singer Michael barnes Red means
blood, pain but mostly redemption but Jasen states it just means Red and doesn’t
stand for anything.

1. Red occasionally offers Acoustic Experience tickets, in which fans are allowed an opportunity to hang out with the band aboard the tour bus with them and hear an acoustic song before the main show.
2. The song "Let Go" was featured in the Activision video game Baja 1000.
3. The song "Pieces" was featured in the trailer for The Blind Side.

Personal Opinion:
Honestly, I don’t know this band that much, the only
two songs I know well are “Ordinary World” which is a cover of an 80’s band “Duran
Duran” which at the same time is my favorite songs from “Duran Duran” and “Release
the Panic” that is from their latest album, I’ve heard more of their songs
today while exploring and learning from their history and they have a couple of
interesting and good songs especially in my opinion “Pieces” which is a very
strong and powerful song. So in conclusion I think this is a pretty nice band
with a variety of songs from soft, emotional and much harder rock.
