Band Of The Week: Linkin Park

Image
Slight Band History: (In Memory Of Chester) Linkin Park was founded by three high school friends; Mike Shinoda, Rob Bourdon and Brad Delson. After graduating from high school, the three took their music interest in a more serious note recruiting Joe Hahn and Mark Wakefield to perform in their band but frustration came fast when the band couldn't land a record deal due to this the bands current vocalist Mark leaves the band for other projects. After a time searching they recruit Chester Bennington, Bennington was formerly from a post-grunge band named "Grey Daze” after this they renamed the band from Xero to Hybrid Theory. They released a self-titled album and with the band's changed in style and sound thanks to the mixture of Bennington and Shinoda they once again changed their name to Linkin Park a homage to Santa Monica's Lincoln Park(now called Christine Emerson Reed Park) after a couple of rejections with major record deals the band goes to Jeff Blue

Music In Video Games: Bioshock Series

Image
Just like the post of " Uncharted Series " I just recently passed all Bioshock games including all the dlc's thanks to the Bioshock Collection, now I have already played Bioshock before but I loved this series so much I decided to get the collection and pass it all over again. Now saying that I can say that I really enjoy Bioshock and have come to consider the series my favorite trilogy in games, there is something about how they are made that always entrance me and leaves me awed every time, saying that music has a lot to do with it in these games because other than the era they are set on the scores are fantastic and give you a sense of dread but amazement at the same time that I can't quite explain it. That being said just like the " Uncharted " post I will be posting 2 songs from each game including DLC(except Minerva's Den) that are special to me in some way or the other. Enjoy! Music In Video Games: Tearaway Unfolded

Image
I recently passed Tearaway Unfolded because it was the free game on Playstation Plus for march and I wanted to talk about this game due to how much it impressed me in both Music and gameplay choices, first of I was a big fan of MM and Little Big Planet 1 & 2 and I knew they had left Little Big Planet 3 to make their new games Dreams but I had no idea they had made this game as well(probably because I didn't had a Vita) and it's a shame because due to that fact probably a lot of people missed out on this game. The game was kind of hard to grasp at first especially when I couldn't jump in the beginning but it started to get better and better to the point that I couldn't stop playing because every time a new ability or gimmick was unlock it always surprised me how well they integrated the current gimmick with the gameplay these gimmicks includes (touching of the pad, swiping the pad, drawing, playing with a camera "a very detailed camera with lenses and eve

Video: Knackles The Enchilada

Image
Made a parody video using parody music from different Sonic games. The band that makes the parody music is called Sonic4ever here is a link so you can listen to their albums " Sonic Adventure 2 Greatest Hits Revisited ". They make  purposely  bad song covers for a bunch of Sonic songs and I think is hilarious, so hilarious that it inspired me to make an equally ridiculous mii doing stupid things to have an extra layer of hilarity to their songs. Here is the Video. Knackles The Enchilada Alternative link I really enjoyed making this video in ways that I can't really explain so if you liked it please subscribe to my youtube channel because I am considering making more of these. -Cheers!

Cover Of The Week: Float On

Image
Float On is a song from Modest Mouse from the 2004's album Good News For People That Love Bad News. The song is a bit fast paced indie song with a catchy and bit melancholic chorus that is sure to make anyone sing. Now in Ben Lee's version he slowed it down entirely and reduced the instruments still being very catchy but way more melancholic and it's fantastic. Ben Lee's Version: Alternative Link Original: Alternative Link

Fidlar's Too Much Concert!

Image
On the 12th of November my friends and I traveled from Puerto Rico to Philadelphia to see a Fidlar concert and I have to say it was a crazy fun rush, it was an amazing time and I wanted to share a couple pictures of the concert here. After being hooked with their music non-stop since hearing "No Waves" in the Saint Rows 4 Soundtrack finally seeing them live was one of the most amazing experiences I’ve had and I'm pretty sure my friend can say the same, the energy was crazy and it’s been a long time since I come out with no voice whatsoever from a concert, completely worth it, if you are a fan of the band do not miss out on seeing them live. Here are all the pictures: If you want to hear and read more about Fidlar click " here " for more info for when they were Band Of The Week! Also special mention to the other bands that played on tour with them The Frights and SWMRS who were also very awesome in the concert, look out for
