Music In Video Games: Tearaway Unfolded
I recently passed Tearaway Unfolded because it was the
free game on Playstation Plus for march and I wanted to talk about this game
due to how much it impressed me in both Music and gameplay choices, first of I
was a big fan of MM and Little Big Planet 1 & 2 and I knew they had left
Little Big Planet 3 to make their new games Dreams but I had no idea they had
made this game as well(probably because I didn't had a Vita) and it's a shame
because due to that fact probably a lot of people missed out on this game. The
game was kind of hard to grasp at first especially when I couldn't jump in the beginning
but it started to get better and better to the point that I couldn't stop
playing because every time a new ability or gimmick was unlock it always
surprised me how well they integrated the current gimmick with the gameplay
these gimmicks includes (touching of the pad, swiping the pad, drawing, playing
with a camera "a very detailed camera with lenses and everything I might
add" and motion controller and all this with the whole fourth wall
breaking concept where the game actually addresses you directly and does all
sorts of crazy things that I rather let you find out on your own playing it
than reading it. All this with a really interesting soundtrack and fun customization
making this game a complete fun experience going back to the fact that many
people have regrettably missed. It's also nice the type of game, a
simple/challenging 3D platformer game with the same mentality of having a fun
looking character going through all of these 3D obstacles, puzzles and
platforming feeling like it came straight from the PS1 era but with some crazy
features and really nice art work making the game seem like arts and crafts,
it's a nice single player experience to get when most the games nowadays are
all either grand multiplayer games or big blockbuster narratives that are
almost movies with very serious plot lines, it's nice to dive in a game that is
for once just a game for you to enjoy by yourself.
As I mention the music in the game was very nice and combined really well with the scenery and things around, In here I will leave one of the songs that capture my attention the most.
