Slight Band History: The band formed when Cole Becker and Joey Armstrong watched School of Rock together and wanted a band, later on Cole's brother Max Becker joined in, by this time the band was named "The Raining Souls" then changed to "The Clocks" then changed again to "Emily's Army". Emily's Army had a goal to raise money and create more awareness for Cystic Fibrosis in honor of Max's and Cole's cousin who suffered from this diseased. Around 2014 the band changed its name again to "Swimmers" and then around 2015 the band would start to write its name as "SWMRS" Genre : Punk Rock, Surf Punk Location : Oakland, California, US Activity : 2004-present Name Origin : Swimmers was the name the band used as a low key name for a tour a UK tour with Matt Grocorr & The Shrives and Wasters.
