Band Of The Week: Linkin Park

Slight Band History: (In Memory Of Chester) Linkin Park was founded by three high school friends; Mike Shinoda, Rob Bourdon and Brad Delson. After graduating from high school, the three took their music interest in a more serious note recruiting Joe Hahn and Mark Wakefield to perform in their band but frustration came fast when the band couldn't land a record deal due to this the bands current vocalist Mark leaves the band for other projects. After a time searching they recruit Chester Bennington, Bennington was formerly from a post-grunge band named "Grey Daze” after this they renamed the band from Xero to Hybrid Theory. They released a self-titled album and with the band's changed in style and sound thanks to the mixture of Bennington and Shinoda they once again changed their name to Linkin Park a homage to Santa Monica's Lincoln Park(now called Christine Emerson Reed Park) after a couple of rejections with major record deals the band goes to Jeff Blue...
