Song of the Week: Outer Wilds - Reprise

This will be a new segment were I just talk about a specific songs instead of a band, cover or music in media. This is due to the fact that sometimes I feel that I am enjoying just a song in particular and I don't acknowledge it in the blog due to the fact that either I already talked about the band or I just know that one song from the band. So this way I can express what's the song I am currently hooked on and for a chance of it having a spotlight here. Also noting the section will be called Song of the Week for consistency but songs that I get hooked on can last weeks or months. This will not replace Band of the Week it's more to allow myself more space to post more.

With that being said the Song of the Week this time is Outer Wilds - Reprise by Andrew Prahlow. This song is the reason for this section to exist in the first place. I have been struggling to keep a constant posting flow due to the way I was collecting bulks of songs instead of sometimes just speaking of gems like this. This song was recently released yesterday on Spotify but it got to me instantly. I was having a terrible day and having really dark thoughts but this song really got me out of that and hyper focused me into doing this section and hopefully post more. This song reminded me why I started writing this blog in the first place, the feeling of calmness and power it carries is nothing but amazing. Give it a listen, it will surely let you figure something out about yourself.

Of course I can't talk about this song without acknowledging the game that sprung it "Outer Wilds" This game was everything I wanted in a game when I played it a couple of months ago and will surely go into more details in a more thorough "Music in Media" post, because the way this game handles music is nothing but masterful and it has a terrific soundtrack to boast. So if you ever read this Andrew Prahlow, thanks for creating such an inspiring soundtrack that has helped me in many ways as I am sure it has many others.
